User Flow & UI Sketches

Created User Flow Sketches: We each designed user flow sketches to outline the steps a user would take from onboarding to task/event management, ensuring a smooth user journey.

Developed Functional Views: I included key views like daily, weekly, and project overviews, providing users with clear access to their time management and analytics.

Streamlined Interaction Steps: We focused on simplifying the task/event addition process and analytics dashboard navigation, improving usability and user experience.

Mapped Out Navigation: We designed intuitive navigation, including logout and task updates, ensuring users can easily manage their activities and app settings.

Designed Task List Interface: I created a clean and functional task list interface with filters for task types (e.g., Personal, School, Work), allowing users to easily categorize and manage their tasks.

Developed Analytics Dashboard: I Designed an analytics screen that provides insights into the user’s tasks, free time, and progress, with visual elements like graphs and pie charts to track productivity and task completion.

Created Daily View Layout: We developed a daily overview that integrates events and tasks, with reminders for tasks and free time, allowing users to easily manage their schedule on a day-to-day basis.

Integrated Priority Master List: We designed a priority master list that helps users organize tasks based on urgency and importance, with an "Insights" feature offering personalized suggestions for task management.

Clarity in UI Design: We improved the clarity of the rewards section and task management UI, ensuring that users can easily understand the purpose and flow of rewards and task tracking.

Network Section Refinement: We received feedback that the network section was taking up too much space and may not clearly tie into the time management features. Adjustments were made to improve the integration of network functionalities with task management.

Daily View Navigation: Based on feedback, we refined the Daily View page, making it easier for users to navigate and distinguish from the home page.

Motivation Through Analytics: We incorporated feedback that suggested breaking down tasks and time management (e.g., “You have 15 tasks to do and 7 hours of free time, would you like to schedule something?”) as a form of motivation and clearer task prioritization.

Actionable Task Flows: We implemented call-to-action prompts on the home screen to guide users through task flows, creating urgency and helping them prioritize actions.

Branding and Personality: We enhanced the home screen by making it more conversational (e.g., “It is August 24, you have this many tasks”), adding a human element while providing an overview of the user’s day.

Integration of Learning Outcomes: I integrated learning outcomes and goal-setting features as part of the app’s engagement strategy, encouraging users to build habits and stay motivated through task completion.

Navigation Shortcuts: We added a shortcut bar at the bottom of the screen to provide quick access to the most-used pages and task flows, improving app findability and user efficiency.

Differentiated Views: I developed multiple views (e.g., daily, weekly, and task priority) to differentiate the app from competitors, offering users more ways to interact with their schedule and tasks.

Report Refinement

Target User Focus: We narrowed the scope to focus on students and young professionals between 18-40 years old, excluding individuals with additional family responsibilities.

User Profile Development: We created a user persona (Bobby Cooper) to represent a young professional struggling with balancing multiple deadlines, which helped shape the app’s features and goals.

Competitor Analysis: I evaluated existing tools (e.g., Outlook, Notion, Google Calendar) to identify gaps in task management, leading to design improvements like better integration and customization options.

Key Features Identified: We defined essential features for the app, including task prioritization, time management tools, customizable dashboards, and cloud integration for seamless task tracking.

Goal-Oriented Design: We focused on helping users manage time more effectively, meet deadlines, and reduce procrastination through tailored task and motivation management.
